Ancient History started when people invented writing. This was about 3500 B.C. In Ancient History Romans and Greeks appeared.

They invented coins, the Olimpic Games and the idea of democracry. Democracy means government by the people. 

The Greeks made beautiful buildings and sculptures. The Greeks believed in many gods (dioses).

SCULPTURE

BUILDINGS

The Greeks came to the Iberian Peninsula. They called it Iberia. They wrote books about many things, such as science. The Greeks bought and sold things. This is called trade (comercio).

ROMANS

The Romans came to the Iberian Peninsula in 218 B.C. They called it Hispania. They established a big empire (imperio) and Hispania was part of this empire. The Roman Empire ended in 476 A.D.

They built aqueducts and many roads and cities.

Romans and Greeks made beautiful buildings and sculptures. They wrote books and believed in many gods. 

They invented a language called LATIN. Spanish comes from latin.
